Fee Benchmarking & Negotiation
Currently, the varying level of fees is so complex that it is difficult for plan sponsors and fiduciaries to understand and negotiate them.
Congress and the DOL are currently debating changes to the way fees must be disclosed to retirement plans and the participants in them. To help our plan sponsor clients understand and comply, we use a fee transparency tool that uncovers each of the plans various fees and expenses. We then benchmark these fees against other providers to determine their reasonableness. As a professional fiduciary* and plan advocate we use the benchmarking report to negotiate new fee arrangements when appropriate.
